The university released data this evening at 6 PM indicating that 7,418 admissions had been finalized. Surprisingly, this number is lower than the figure of 7,583 reported on August 30 at 5 PM. This decline suggests that some students may have withdrawn their admissions. Meanwhile, the number of students who have “frozen” their seats has increased from 4,185 to 4,529.

A special upgrade window was opened for two days, during which 2,881 candidates applied for seat upgrades. However, only 2,682 candidates were actually granted an upgrade. This has left many students wondering why the number of successful upgrades is so low. As per the university, this may be due to a lack of available seats or a high cutoff requirement.

In the Single Girl Child category, 764 admissions have been confirmed, and in the Orphan Child category, 132 students have been admitted. Under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and Sports quotas, 1,061 and 1,648 admissions have been granted, respectively.

There is still no clarity regarding the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) course at the College of Art and the admissions under the CW (Children of War) quota. The university has promised to release this data soon.

While the current scenario has been frustrating for many, the university encourages students to remain patient. The admission process is ongoing, and more rounds, including a potential spot round, may provide additional opportunities for seat upgrades. Students are advised to keep checking the university’s official admission website for further updates.
