Hi guys, many of you have been asking about how to fill in preferences for the CSAS Phase II, which gives us very little time. I’ll cover everything on “How to create the Best Preference List to get into Delhi University” Even if your score is as low as 300 or 350, you can still get into Delhi University or your dream college.
Phase II is the most important, where you can excel even with lower marks. Understanding how to set your preferences is key. Each person’s preferences will differ; girls may have different preferences from boys.
A student may focus on the course, the college, or proximity to home to reduce travel time. Some may only want girls’ colleges. Analyze your needs and set your preferences accordingly.
You can fill in as many combinations as you want; some students filled in 600-700 combinations last time. If your marks are low, fill in as many as possible. Don’t stick to just one course. Choose at least four or five classes, and if your marks are very low, include all combinations of the BA program.
Delhi University Campus Life: A Journey Like No Other
When setting your preferences, first choose the best colleges in the North Campus, then the best in the South Campus, followed by the remaining North and South Campus colleges. Include off-campus colleges and evening colleges as well. Some off-campus colleges are better than the remaining South Campus colleges, so prioritize accordingly.
Here are some examples of evening colleges where you can get admission even with low marks:
- Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College – Its cut-off is higher than many morning colleges.
- Motilal Nehru Evening College – Amazing.
- Dayal Singh Evening College – Despite being called an evening college, its timing is like a morning college.
- PGDAV Evening College – Amazing.
- Ramlal Anand Evening College
- Zakir Husain Evening College – One of the oldest colleges with great infrastructure.
- Shyamlal Evening College
If your marks are very low, consider these evening colleges as their cut-off is lower due to less preference from students. They start at 2 PM and go on till evening, which might suit students with side hustles.
For morning colleges where you can get admission with low scores:
- Motilal Nehru College is also available as an evening college.
- Swami Shraddhanand College – Located on the outskirts of Delhi, hence less preferred.
- Satyawati College
- Zakir Husain College
- Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College – Preferred by East Delhi students.
- Deshbandhu College
- PGDAV College
Remember, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College is better than many of these morning colleges. Decide if you are comfortable with evening colleges or if you prefer morning ones. Follow the given structure to prepare your preferences. Don’t hesitate to list North Campus colleges at the top, even with low marks. You have unlimited preferences, so use them wisely.
