New Delhi, September 17 – The Delhi University (DU) admission process has moved into the much-awaited Spot Round phase, allowing students who have not yet secured a seat to participate. DU Spot Round 2024: How To Fill Choices After Vacant Seat Released

DU will release the data showing the number of vacant seats across various courses and colleges. Students can check how many seats are available in their desired courses, including General, EWS, SC/ST, and other reserved categories. Based on this data, students can proceed to fill their preferences for the spot round.

Students are reminded that participation in the spot round is not casual. Once a student participates in this round and is allotted a seat, they must accept the seat. Failure to do so will result in the student being eliminated from future rounds. Unlike the regular rounds, spot round seats are final, and students cannot expect further upgrades.

According to reports from various DU colleges, seats are likely to be available in courses such as HindiB.ComPolitical ScienceHistory, and certain Science courses. Students are advised to carefully consider their options based on the available seats, as many popular courses still have vacancies.

Last year’s admission process showed that several students secured seats in special spot rounds and even in the mop-up round. Approximately 650 students benefited from these rounds, suggesting that students still have a good chance of securing admission in the spot round.
