The announcement that the results would be declared on Monday was based on information from the examination department.

Results were expected to be out from Monday evening to late night. But a last-minute processing issue arose with around 350 students having data mismatch and hence marks couldn’t be awarded.

This issue was detected on Sunday, a holiday, and couldn’t be resolved by Monday evening. Till the marks were matched correctly, the results couldn’t be declared.

This caused a delay and many students were worried. Results were withheld when the final processing started until the mismatch was resolved.

DU School of Open Learning results involve more than just the examination department, the School of Open Learning also has a role to play.

To resolve these data issues, a meeting was held between the Director of the Campus of Learning, Professor Payal Mago, and the newly appointed Controller of Examinations, Professor Gurpreet Singh Tuteja.

They worked together to ensure that students didn’t face any further inconvenience. By afternoon the issue was resolved and results were expected to go live by 7 PM.

Despite the heat, updates were shared as soon as it was confirmed that results would be live in 10 minutes.

This year’s results are historic. Never before have the SOL results been declared so fast after exams.

The process started with 6th-semester results and ended with BA results. Many students are now graduates, and the examination department assures minimal error in these manually uploaded results.

One student Muskan was sharing updates about the results and was asking to prepare for competitive exams and PG admissions and was emphasizing that results should be declared on time.

University administration was informed and efforts were made to speed up the process for over 55,000 6th semester students.

The teachers who checked the papers fast deserve credits. A few weeks back it was informed that many papers were yet to be checked but the results have started with B.Com and now are over.

For those whose papers are yet to be checked revaluation is an option. Rechecking has been abolished but revaluation ensures a fresh evaluation of the paper and awarding of marks based on performance.

Some students wanted a four-year graduation option but Delhi University has not decided on it for CBCS mode students. All are graduates and today is a day to celebrate.

As students progress, whether pursuing a PG from SOL, regular colleges, or preparing for competitive exams, they should check updates and information independently. This self-reliance is important as students grow.
